It pays to belong.
Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIA/SD) is a non-profit trade association of companies dedicated to the support and promotion of the San Diego graphic arts industry. How do we do that? By providing information, education and resources – like meetings and seminars for salespeople to estimators, group health insurance for employees, wage surveys, regulatory information (air quality, sales tax, legislation, etc.), employee relations guidelines, group buying programs (Xerox, FedEx, Prudential shop towels and more) and San Diego Print Week (in February) that promotes the industry.
When you join PIA/SD, your company also becomes a member of Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF), the world's largest graphic arts trade association. PIA/GATF provids members with the management, marketing, financial and technical information they need to operate their firms more profitably. Membership also includes membership in Printing Industries of California (PIC), the state organization that represents you before state legislative and regulatory bodies and provides information and resources to help you comply in these arenas.

Printing Industries of America / Graphic Arts Technical Foundation
When you join PIA San Diego, you become a member of Printing Industries of America (PIA)/ Graphic Arts Technical Foundation at no extra charge. As the oldest and largest association in the printing world, PIA/GATF serves its members in four core areas: government affairs, management education and publications, information and assistance on digital technologies, and industry research and statistics. GATF provides training and education opportunities, technology updates, a graphic arts research library, consulting services and technical support, including a free technical service hotline for members. Printing Industries of California
Printing Industries of California is our state organization that
helps PIA/SD members deal with government legislative and regulatory
issues such as sales and use tax, hazardous communications, hazardous
waste disposal and air quality management. Members receive free,
professional assistance with sales tax audits, OSHA audits, and
more.
Sales Club
The PIA/SD Sales Club offers its members specialized programs,
a free lending library and a personal subscription to the PIA/SD
monthly newsletter, the Messenger. Sales Club members receive
discounts on all Sales Club meetings, classes and seminars. The
Sales Club also plans a Day at the Races, Padres Night and an
annual Holiday Food Drive.

Events, Education & Networking Opportunities
For members, non-members and guests
PIA/SD offers endless opportunities to exchange ideas, experiences and solutions to shared problems. At the same time, you will be learning from some of the most respected instructors and leaders in our industry. You can take advantage of: membership meetings, seminars, workshops, classes, Print Week, and social events like our Golf Tournament and Padres Night. Print Week
At the Print Week Trade Show, held every February at the San Diego Convention Center, you can see the latest offerings of the San Diego printing industry, from paper and software to prepress, printing and finishing services. A variety of seminars provide information, education, tips and techniques to make your job easier.

Survey for the San Diego printing industry get a free copy of

PIA/SD members have access to hundreds of short articles, publications

applications, VOC data collection sheets, legislative briefings
and more.
Scholarship 2000
Each spring, PIA/SD provides scholarships to San Diego students
pursuing a full-time, post-secondary education in printing.
