July 20, 2009 • Card Check (what's this?) and Other Pro-Union Legislation on Capitol Hill
What does the 2008 Election mean for your company's employees, and how should employers effectively communicate with their employees? Big labor provided significant funding in the 2008 election with the hope of building a majority to rewrite the relationships between unions and management. Many big issues that will impact your company lurk on the horizon including the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) designed to eliminate the secret ballot in union organizing elections. Should this bill pass, union/management relations would change drastically. But EFCA is not the only issue coming up. Other issues include legislation that will reverse the prevailing definitions of management and employee and prevent companies from replacing striking workers.

Join us for an informative webinar that will help you avoid labor organizing and navigate the sea of changes that will accompany this shift in power. You’ll learn to identify your weaknesses and employ a number of different strategies to head off unwanted organizing activities through positive relationships with your employees.
