Health Insurance
One of the most popular benefits of PIA/SD membership is our health insurance program - the Printing Industries Benefit Trust (PIBT). It was created specifically to meet the health insurance needs of member employees and their families at at very competitive rates. Over 40 plan options include medical, optional dental, vision, life insurance, chiropractic and mental health coverage. You may choose any combination of PPO, POS and HMO plans from Blue Shield, HealthNet, CIGNA and Kaiser to meet your company needs.

Over 1,000 PIA San Diego member employees and over 10,000 PIA California employees participate in the Printing Industries Benefit Trust. The low administrative expenses and large group buying help keep premiums very competitive.

Commercial Insurance
Many PIA/SD members have found that our Workers' Comp and commercial insurance programs offer unbeatable rates and great coverage. The expert insurance staff understands coverage needs for the graphic arts industry.

Through the benefit of group buying, our Workers' Compensation program offers excellent rates to members with good experience.

Our special business insurance package, developed specifically for the graphic arts industry, covers printers' insurance needs in one policy. In addition to standard coverage, options can include: business interruption, errors and omissions, accounts receivable, valuable papers, proprietary software, customers' goods, and others.

Other programs are available as well, including Long-Term Disability and personal auto insurance.
